Claire Hubberstey - Chief Executive
Claire joined Safer London in 2011, and became Chief Executive in 2014. Claire worked as a teacher before going on to hold a number of delivery and management roles within the voluntary sector. She is an expert in child sexual exploitation and a Home Office Gangs Peer Reviewer. She sits on a range of Safeguarding Children Boards and Scrutiny panels; she has presented at the House of Commons on missing children, child sexual exploitation and child trafficking.
Noel Flannery CPFA, ACIL - Director of Finance and Resources
A qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy, Noel has over 25 years’ experience in local government, the NHS and the private sector. He is also currently a member of Council of the University of Roehampton where he chairs the university’s Audit Committee.
Rachel Oliver FRSA - Director of Operations
Rachel joined Safer London from vInspired where she has worked since 2007, and for the last four years as Director of Delivery & Development. Prior to that Rachel worked at the Prince’s Trust as Head of Programmes. Rachel is a board member of Generation Change and is a Clore Leadership Development Programme Fellow for 2016/17.
Sarah Castro MBE - Director of Development & External Affairs
Sarah has over 20 years’ experience in community safety and cohesion, crime prevention and preventing violent extremism, working across a range of sectors including housing, community regeneration and rehabilitation. Sarah was Chair of the Metropolitan Police Independent Advisory Board in Tower Hamlets for seven years, and sat on the Trident Oversight Group.
