Pan-London Domestic Violence Project

The Pan-London Domestic Violence Team at Safer London conducted a mapping and needs assessment exercise, consulting with a range of stakeholders on the current pathways of support and how these could be improved.

Analysis was conducted of London data and strategies to give an overview of what is being prioritised locally, who is accessing services, how they access them, and how this varies across London boroughs. Surveys were completed by 22 local authority housing teams and 17 registered housing providers covering all boroughs of London, on approaches to domestic abuse:

Two directory spreadsheets were also produced in the process of compiling the Needs Assessment and are an appendix to the report. Their focus mirrors the themes of the report and includes services such as advocacy/advice, health support and specialist services for underrepresented groups, as well as housing pathways:

Building on the findings from this report, the team are now developing further work particularly in the area of domestic abuse and housing pathways, including centrally coordinating a new system for Pan-London Housing Reciprocal moves.
