We have just found out that Safer London has been shortlisted for one of the Children and Young People Now awards. This is the third year running that we have been shortlisted, following our win in the Safeguarding category at the awards last year.
The award is for their Children and Young People’s Charity Award, and we are so pleased to be shortlisted for such a prestigious award. We are listed alongside some truly incredible organisations, some local and some national, but each doing vital work with children and young people.
Our Chief Executive, Claire Hubberstey said:
“It is such brilliant news to be shortlisted for this award, which celebrates our achievements in all of our services. Our programmes are growing, and as an organisation we are going from strength to strength, so to have our work noted in this way recognises all the fantastic work done by the team and young people we support.”
The awards are judged by a panel of adult and young judges, and aim to recognise excellence, innovation and impact. The winners will be revealed in November 2016 at an awards ceremony in central London.
You can find out about the rest of the awards, and the organisations shortlisted for each of them, on the Children and Young People Now website, or follow the hashtag #CYPNowAwards on Twitter to keep up to date on the conversation.
