All of our staff and volunteers are passionate about making a positive difference to young people’s lives; all of them demonstrate the organisation’s values on a daily basis.
The charity is headed up by Sherry Peck, the Chief Executive. Sherry has extensive experience at a senior level in the commercial, statutory and charity sector, with over 25 years’ experience in the delivery, commissioning and management of services for children and young people. Her experience is wide ranging and includes work as a Director at The Children’s Society and Head of Commissioning in a number of Local Authorities. Sherry is passionate about empowering and enabling young people and ensuring they are at the heart of developing solutions to live safe and successful lives.
Our Trustee Board is made up of a group of diverse, committed individuals who all bring a range of experience and strengths to the organisation. Bruce Melizan is our current Chair and has been on the Board for seven years. Bruce is currently Executive Director of Interserve plc and Managing Director of Interserve’s Support Services Division. Bruce has been in the outsourcing industry for 20 years and has held a variety of roles in direct delivery, sales, marketing and general management.
Our Volunteer Mentors directly support young people on our Mentoring programme (also known as Aspire). The mentors come from a wide range of backgrounds and provide advice on job skills, education and employment as well as working closely with younger people to help develop their self confidence, communication and learning skills.
We are also proud to have His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales as our Patron. The Commissioner for the Metropolitan Police Service, Cressida Dick, is our President.
