Sherry heads up Safer London’s high performing team. She has extensive experience at a senior level in the commercial, statutory and charity sector, with over 25 years’ experience in the delivery, commissioning and management of services for children and young people. Her experience is wide ranging and includes work as a Director at The Children’s Society and Head of Commissioning in a number of Local Authorities.

She is passionate about ensuring that young Londoners are at the heart of everything Safer London does and that the organisation works alongside them to enable them to flourish despite the difficult context in which they often have to operate.

Sherry is often invited to share her knowledge and expertise both locally and nationally. She has addressed the United Kingdom Association of Women Judges and a group of Cabinet Office fast track graduates, as well as regularly contributing to conferences and events across the UK on the issues which Safer London addresses.

One of her key aims for Safer London is for the organisation to be an enabler for smaller grassroots organisation working in specific London areas or with specific cohorts by offering guidance, sharing ideas and knowledge and seeking ways to partner with them.
